Pipe Flashing—

creates a watertight seal around plumbing pipes that extend through the roof.

Over time, the rubber collar can crack, split, or pull away from the pipe, allowing water to enter the attic.

QUICK ANSWERS

  • Shingles removed around leaking pipe flashing
  • Roof decking inspected around a plumbing vent pipe
  • Waterproof membrane and new pipe flashing installed around a vent pipe
  • Completed pipe flashing repair with new shingles installed
  • Finished RoofCo pipe flashing repair on an asphalt shingle roof

Warning signs: Cracked rubber, attic staining, ceiling leaks or wet decking

Typical solution: Replace the failed flashing and inspect surrounding shingles and decking

Expected longevity: 10-20 years

Pricing: $350-$550 (dependent on roof steepness—risk)
